Advocate is a joke!

i have always eaten healthy, drank water, and worked out daily. with my wedding approaching I've had so many people talk about advocate being a way to cut down on bloating and lose some pounds and inches so i fell for it. i ordered the 24 day cleanse and started on it right away , being sure to follow the strict instructions sent with everything. the first day wasn't bad i felt like i had energy and i didn't have cravings. then the second day came and the third followed by days 4-7 and i have been so sick, in so much intestinal pain, dizziness, extreme fatigue, and not to mention the migraines that no medicine can cure. i haven't been able to work out in 7 days I'm so tired and weak, i crawl in bed at 6pm because i can't even hold myself up anymore and I'm miserable. i stopped after 7 days and have no intention to ever start it back up or finish. I'm very in tune with my body and it is screaming for me to stop taking these products. there is no explanation for my reaction to this product and I'm so bad today I've contemplated going to the ER to be checked for anemia. but then i got online and was shocked to read and see how many other people were experiencing the same things i was and that just sealed the deal for me. ADVOCARE is a joke and was cleared not formed by a RD because I've eating my balanced meals based off of my daily required needs and have drank nothing but water ( gallon a day) and feel like i can't hold myself up even. DO NOT TAKE THIS PRODUCT THERES SO MANY BETTER THINGS I COULD HAVE BOUGHT FOR $220.

Hair loss

I'm not for certain, but I have almost pinpointed my hairloss and my daughter's hairloss to the use of Advocare Spark. When I stopped using it my hair began to grow back.

Had the same problem, when u click on 2 day shipping they give u the delivery date, but its always wrong. The upsell the shipping on false info.

I believe it mainly false on FedEx though. It is not really a true 2- day shipping.

Ups is much better. 3 of my shipments were also crushed and re-taped.

SAVE YOUR MONEY

I TRIED THE 10 DAY CLEANSE AND FROM THE FIRST DAY I HAD THE WORST STOMACH CRAMPS OF MY LIFE. I CLEANSED ALRIGHT BUT WOULD NEVER EVER DO THIS AGAIN. THERE ARE HEALTHIER NATURAL WAYS OF DOING THE SAME THING, MINUS THE PAIN AND AGONY OF HAVING TO STAY IN BED WITH STOMACH CRAMPS. I TRIED IT BECAUSE I HAD LOST A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF WEIGHT AND A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE IS IN THE BUSINESS. BOTTOM LINE, IT JUST DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY PEOPLE! IF THERE IS PAIN INVOLVED IT IS NOT A NORMAL REACTION!

I'm sorry you had severe pains during the cleanse. Were you otherwise healthy? I've done the cleanse twice and never had any issues.

Spark package re-design ripping us off!! Half the goods same price.

Advocare has apparently re-designed their packaging for canisters of Spark to a "more convenient" style. They also reduced the amount of product inside from 630g to 290g, LESS THAN HALF. Oh by the way the price for the canister is still the same!!! Pass it on!!! I happen to really like Spark a lot, use it all the time. I have never seen such a blatant attempt by a company to double the price of their product and characterize it as "re-packaging". Shameful. I couldn't be more disappointed. The product is expensive as it is and now they more than double the price.

It's because this isn't a legitimate business who's purpose is to provide a quality product to their customers. It's laughable how they pawn this scam off as a serious business model.

#1086479

Here's my problem with it....I just received a new shipment of my Spark yesterday and when I opened it, the freakin container was only halfway full! The product didn't even fill up the container yet I still paid the same price. It's very frustrating as I love my Spark but this container will not last me and I only drink it once a day.

#1082625

Couldn't agree more.

#1046752

The only *** is you...the one that claims it's the same.

#1046749

All you *** that claim it's the same are wrong. It is NOT. I'm sure the Barry Ovomit koolaid taste great to you as well.

#1032546

To me the most disappointing part is that it taste different. Not in a good way.

#1018839

I'm in the food industry and we pass on price increases by lowering the amount of grams inside the box. It's amazing how many gullible people are out there that choose not to believe the facts:

1) Smaller Scooper to justify # of servings

2) 630g to 290g but still the same price

I for one have found a non synthetic alternative........goodbye Advocare........without full disclosure, what else are you hiding!

#1017742

Maltodextrin was removed. Carb filler.

Maltodextrin is also sometimes taken as a supplement in powder form by bodybuilders and other athletes, as it is a quickly digested carbohydrate that supplies the body with enough energy to engage in protein synthesis post-workout. Which is why the "new" Spark mixes easily, whereas before you had clumps fall to the bottom and the consistency was gritty.

#1017018

the "bad fillers" were still charged to the consumer, when they took them out, the price should reflect. I understand the good stuff is still in there, but we weren't getting the "fillers" for free.

#1014302

Still has 42 serving

Advocare - Weight Loss Product Review from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania

If I wanted to I would upload a picture of my face from day 6 on Advocare. Day 6 I woke up with a red, painful, itchy RASH all over my cheeks and neck that made mu face swell. Why?? All the niacin I put into my body. Advocare products have 300% niacin to be exact and that is TOXIC for any human to consume! I ended up at a walk in clinic on what would have been my day 7 due to my face being red, swollen, itchy, and just plain painful from Advocare products. Had my neck swollen up while I was sleeping like my face did then I could have died from lack of oxygen. The CRNP instructed me to stop taking everything advocare and put me on prednisone. It's been 4 days on the steroid and my face is slowly, but surely clearing up. Don't risk your life over a fad diet. There aren't miracle supplements that you can take to lose weight. Just work out, eat clean, and have plenty of water in your diet. Don't make it any harder on yourself.

Similar thing happened to me! I thought it was strange that my skin was so red on my face but I didn't think much of it.

I was only drinking the vegetarian meal replacement shakes once a day. After about a month, I started feeling sick to my stomach after I would drink them. I stopped for a week or so then tried to drink one before work to see if that's really what what causing it. Within an hour I was throwing up and literally miserable.

It was the Nicain. Took over a month to build in my system but once it did my body couldn't handle it. I don't think it is just an allergy. I agree with this guy.

It's toxic.

Just eat clean.

#986945

You had an allergic reaction to the product so no one else should take it? It is the same logic as saying I am allergic to peanuts so no one else should eat them? That is silly.

#995911
@PissedConsumer986945

No, it's not silly... It should be stated that the product is extremely high in NIACIN

#982888

Niacin is vitamin B3.

#978468

Well....not that I have taken this exact product, but I am on a Vitamin that contains Niacin, I think you should do your research before taking a product containing this Vitamin (B3) because it seems as if you are allergic to it...read below.

Advocare and their advisers/coaches tell you that you need to have a "no excuses attitude." When I started Advocare, the business looked a little appealing because I'd just left a job and didn't foresee another in the near future. However, I'm not a "people-person",...

The only cult as weird as Advocare, is Sunrider. They each one have a few good products (I like Spark and Calli Tea,) but to jump through all the hoops and maniacs to get the products is a nightmare.

The people involved in these things are looneytunes. Just like Amway, Herbalife, and all those other nutbag companies that attract wild-eyed foaming at the mouth "Christians" and anyone else trying to make an "easy buck".

Waste of $280 or bucks as you call them. If you are going to post a review as a consumer, the least you could do is be clear and concise.

How about putting supporting information for other consumers that are clearly on this site to read helpful reviews, not half-*** reviews. Did you work out on a regular basis (typically 3-5 times per week)? Did you eat healthy during your supplement stacking, or did you continue to eat McDonald's and Burger King everyday? Did you take the supplements as directed as well as water intake?

These are the things you should post but I do appreciate the suggested flavors that everyone knows and likes so much.

P.S. If you spend $280 on a gym membership and trainer you still have to quit eating McDonald's everyday. Plus your still wasting your money. Go to YouTube and search HIIT training.

HIIT, along with a simple push/pull workout regimen, will go a long way. This will help you lose weight quickly along with healthy dieting. Supplements are only a short-term fix for weight loss.

A healthy lifestyle and eating habits are what really work in the long run. Just trying to help out.

I had an experience with a distributor who didn't return an email on my request for more information and wanted to charge me $240 for the 24 day cleanse when it's listed for much less than that on the website. She claimed her "14 spots for the 24 day challenge were filled and paid for". Maybe point your distributors in the direction of a business class or two, especially if this is a "career" for them. I expect more from a company like this. I would much prefer to purchase this from a retail location instead of having to trust another distributor.

The standard 24 day challenge is much less than $240...and it does include the cleanse in that bundle...however...challenges can get up to $240 if you purches the extras (catalyst, thermoplus, extra shakes, etc) your distributor may have done this to you and did not inform you. Which is not the right thing to do...and they should also be in touch with you every few days to be sure you are having success.

Everyone's body is different and sometimes you have to change something throughout the 24 days. I hope you aren't too discouraged and are now getting the help and answers you need.

If not you are welcome to email me teamsaettel.advocare@***.com I will help in any way I can...even if you need in touch with our home office. Best of luck!

#884635
@PissedConsumer879118

Just so you know if you didnt get your email approved by advocare you are in violation of your distributor agreement.

#876560

Actually there is a 10 day cleanse that retails for about $35 and then the 24 day challenge. Maybe get your facts straight before assuming your distributor is scamming you....

#873920

I'm so sorry to hear of your experience. There is no way the 24 Day Challenge should be that much.

As a distributor myself, I make sure to attend classes, ask my mentors questions, and relate to what the consumer would need instead of making them feel like I'm just trying to sell a product. Advocare, if sold the proper way has steps you can take whether you want to be a regular customer, become a discounted customer, or be a distributor. No one should EVER pay over the price posted by Advocare itself. In order to get the discounted prices you must have paid into the company but that's only if you really love the products or want you sell it.

It makes me so mad when people take advantage of others to make a Buck.

I work under some of the best mentors and highest ranking Distributors and we have weekly meetings and attend any training we can for the company. I wish everyone took it as serious as our team but sadly they don't. I bet in your case, the girl selling bought a bunch and tried to package it with some plan for recipes or something to make it seem legit but we have special groups we add you to after you purchase and there are recipes, people to cheer you on, snack ideas, and general facts and tips.

I sure hope one day you will give it a second chance with someone else because it's a fantastic company if not should by someone else's stupidity. I'm so sorry you had this experience.
