Let’s get down to the nitty gritty. Advocare is not perfect, but it is a solution to the sugar problems out there!! I rather support Advocare than Pepsi or Starbucks (which I’ve spent plenty of my earnings consuming their drinks to keep up with my high stress work environments at the hospital)! In my desperate need of energy, consuming those drinks helped facilitate my weight gain. I’m not putting all the blame on them because I chose to drink those sugary drinks. But in my desperate need of energy, they were readily available. Luckily, I found Advocare for the alternative! So, please get ANGRY with Pepsi, Starbucks and similar types of companies. It’s because of them, people like myself chose Advocare! I find that Advocare consumers want to slow down their sugar consumption to not ONLY help decrease their weight gain, type II diabetes, and a whole bunch of health issues but to PREVENT it too. Unfortunately, just eating ‘right’ is not out there anymore! Try finding anything in the market without sugar: fruits and veggies included. Even the most natural, organic, non-GMO sugars won’t help (including maple syrup, honey, agave nectar, etc…). You’re still consuming SUGAR (aka fructose)!! Working in healthcare, I see it first hand that Type II Diabetes is still on the rise. I’ve entered this particular diagnosis in so many patients’ charts and it is sad!

I even avoided Whole Foods for a good wholesome fruit drink because there is still a lot of sugar in those “on the go” fruit juices that they sell (Evolution, Naked, Odwalla, Boathouse). These have just as much sugar as SODA!! I was so close to having gestational diabetes (diabetes while pregnant), because sugar is so hard to avoid. Try avoiding sugar sometime, its almost impossible!! Don’t get me wrong the average healthy person needs some sugar but you’re already consuming it with fruits and vegetables!!

In other words “Thank You Advocare” for the alternative!!

As for the many complaints of rude and unknowledgeable Advocare distributors, if there is a company with perfect service reps, cashiers, managers, etc… PLEASE enlighten me!!! I have worked with even rude nurses and doctors, but does that mean they ALL don’t know what they’re doing or they are ALL working for selfish reasons? They could have just had a bad day or even a bad week! We hear the side of the person complaining but do we hear the other side of the story? Don’t judge a company by just reading one-sided stories! You don’t know what that person’s health history is or dietary background because they never revealed their whole medical history or medications, so please don’t read too much into what they say!!! They need to be their own health advocates, and if they don’t know what they can or cannot consume, or what they are allergic too, it is their responsibility not the company's!!

Please read this excellent article about sugar that was posted today!

I agree..I'm 66 and have lost 22 pounds so far..I feel much better and because of the wonderful check off list on my phone I don't cheat... I want to continue losing to get an operation.

Yes the fiber drink is awful ..put some real lemon juice in it to help overcome it. I won't quit!

I am guessing you are a distributor so I can see your view in defending your product. However if we just look at facts it doesn't look good for Advocare.

Anything that has lead as an ingredient is not a healthy choice.

Advocare has products that contain lead - outside of California is this even presented to the consumers? What are the long term effects of Spark - medically not oh they made me feel better?

There are healthy alternatives out there that existed before Spark.

If you have been taking their products for a while I would suggest a doctor visit and a checkup.

I'm curious as to your thoughts on Advocare's use of sucralose in their Spark. They also use fructose and sucralose in their meal replacement shakes.

Artificial flavor is added to most of their products as well. Although they don't have fructose in Spark, sucralose has not had enough testing done to verify its effects on the human metabolism.

You choose advocare over Pepsi when it contains artificial sweeteners....along with other toxic ingredients.
